C&NW CTC Glan Gwna Cylchdaith Yr Wyddfa and Menai a Lon Eifion Audax Events 2026

This is day 2 of the weekend of rides based at Glan Gwna near Caernarfon

Cylchdaith Yr Wyddfa (50:50@50)

108Km cycling event starting from Caeathro, Caernarfon.  Controls at Start, Ogwen Cottage, Tremadog, Caeathro plus 3 information controls.

TOUR OF SNOWDON This ride is around the central, highest section of Eryri, hilly but no steep gradients. Views of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) form all angles possible. This is day 2 of the weekend of rides based at Glan Gwna near Caernarfon. Some of the best views peerless on a clear day.
There are some busy road sections but organisers feels they are generally safe. Mainly quiet roads and an optional gravel section

Start at 9am finish by 17.38pm

Menai a Lon Eifion (50:50@50)

62Km cycling event starting from Caeathro, Nr Caernarfon. Controls at Glan Gwna (start), Caernarfon Airport, Glan Gwna, plus 3 information controls.

An introduction to riding audax or a recovery ride if you ride the day before. Up the wonderful cycle track the Lon Eifion (NCN8 ) to Bryncir returning via the coastal road on the edge on the Menai Strait. Views of Eryri to the East Ynys Môn to the West. Cycle tracks and quiet lanes

Start at 9.30am finish by 14.27pm

50:50@50 is an initiative to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Audax UK and to try to get more females to ride Audax events. The hope is that 50% of the field will be female riders.

Events start at Glan Gwna Holiday Park where you can find many lodges to rent on AirBNB etc. Cafe and a bar
