Cheshire Sundae
Event description
New in 2026 join us for a Cheshire Sundae
An afternoon ride starting from Poynton Church Hall where you’ll be welcomed with a cup of tea or coffee.
Cheshire Sundae is a delightful trip out to Bidlea Dairy using some pleasant lanes and passing close by Jodrell Bank and the Lovell telescope. The theme of exploration continues when you arrive at the dairy as with so many flavours of ice cream available why chose just one, but just what is the ultimate flavour combination? This important research has been undertaken by one of our regular riders who makes the bold claim that raspberry ripple with lemon and ginger is the ultimate pairing, but is she right?
There will be a warm reception waiting for you at the finish along with hot drinks & food.
There is pay as you go parking at the start via the ringo app and Poynton train station is less than 2k from the start. There is a Travelodge at Adlington and camping at Elm Beds Caravan Park, both less than 3km away from the start.
