The Inclusive Cycling Network

Cycling UK teamed up with Cycling Projects to promote the largest network of Inclusive Cycling Centres. The centres provide thousands of people with the opportunity to experience cycling whatever their ability.

Cycling UK supports more than 40 Inclusive Cycling Centres across England as part of a Big Lottery-funded project.

Each Inclusive Cycling Centre is unique and can specialise in working with people with physical or mental disabilities, new cyclists, the elderly, injury rehabilitation referrals or just those lacking the confidence to take a bicycle out on the road.

The centres have access to adapted cycles like hand-cycles, tandems and tricycles that allow them to give people with a wide variety of needs a chance to experience cycling.
The Inclusive Cycling Network centres are driven by dedicated and inspirational staff and volunteers, who need our support to improve their facilities, services and to give them the sustainability they deserve.

Cycling UK is committed to supporting them by showcasing the impact of their work for individuals and communities, generating new support in the form of volunteers, training opportunities and funding, and putting inclusive cycling on the public's agenda so their work attracts important funding.

How you can be involved

  • Become a volunteer at an Inclusive Cycling Centre and inspire others to cycle.
  • Encourage people with disabilities, or from care homes and carers to visit their local centre.
  • Sponsor a centre - the Inclusive Cycling Network offers a unique funding opportunity for your organisation, with the chance to create real impact at a local level.
