Liz Clements

Labour councillor, Birmingham, Cabinet Member for Transport

As a child, Liz cycled to school in Chelmsford, and regularly while studying and working in Oxford. Sadly, when she moved to Birmingham in 1999, she lost her nerve somewhat and rarely got her bike out. However, during the pandemic she started cycling again and found that the new segregated infrastructure increased her confidence. As Birmingham’s Cabinet Member for Transport, she is dedicated to championing cycling for all.

“There is still a lot to do to make Birmingham a truly cycling-friendly city but our cycle revolution is underway, and I will be leading it from the front on my bike!”
