Pamela White is part of Cycling UK's 100 Women in Cycling 2018 list for a lifetime dedicated to cycling adventures.

Pamela has been cycling now for 70 years, 64 of them with her husband Jack, whom she met on a Cycling UK ride in Buckinghamshire in 1953. The pair were members of the South Bucks DA where Pamela was secretary before retiring to Shropshire. Over decades, Pamela marshalled events, planned rides, managed checkpoints, helped friends book cycling holidays and made endless cups of tea. Pamela and Jack have enjoyed many cycling breaks, including the Isle of Wight with a tandem in the 1960s, and numerous tours in Europe.

While Pamela may now be in her 80s and not cycling as much as she used too, she enjoys seeing others carry on. Pamela has inspired generations of her family to cycle – her children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren cycle.
