Frequently asked questions (FAQs) and terms and conditions of Cycling UK membership

Membership FAQs

Online account

Will I have an account created automatically upon joining?

You will not automatically have an online account created for you when you take out a Cycling UK membership. You will need to create your online account following the steps below.

How do I create an account?

From our website click on ‘Log in’ in the top right-hand corner. From here scroll down to where you see ‘Don’t have an account? Sign up now’. When signing up, please use the email and full name on your membership record. As part of the process, you’ll receive an email containing a one-time passcode to finish setting up your account.

Please note: each membership must have a unique email address.

What can I do with my online account?

An online account will enable you to access your membership online. Through your online account you will be able to:

  • Renew your membership within your renewal period
  • Request a new membership card
  • Change your details including postal address and email address
  • View your exclusive member benefits and offers

How can I change my password?

To reset your password, visit the Cycling UK website and click ‘Log in’ in the top right-hand corner of the page. Below the log in fields, select ‘Forgot your password?’ and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.

I have a Household membership. Can each member of my household have their own online account?

Each household member can have an online account to access their digital membership card, update their personal details and access member benefits, however the primary contact will be the only member who can make any changes to the membership itself and renew the membership within the renewal period.

Why can’t I see my membership/the system is saying I’m not a member when I try to log in?

If your membership is active but isn’t showing when you log in, you may be logging in with an email address that isn’t linked to your membership record. Your membership will only appear when you sign in using the same email address and full name we hold on your membership record. If you need to check your membership details, or update the email linked to it, please contact us at [email protected] or call 01483 238301.

I am trying to log in, but it says, ‘We can’t seem to find your account’.

This message usually means the email address you are using is not linked to your membership record. Please contact the Membership team so we can check your details and help you access your account.

Why is it showing ID already exists?

If you are trying to sign up but you see the error message ‘ID already exist’, this means you already have an online account and must go down the log in route, rather than the create a new account route.

What can’t I do online?

Once logged into your online account, you will not be able to do the following:

  • Change your name
  • Cancel your membership

Please contact the Membership team if you would like to do any of the above.

How do I change my email address?

Once you are logged into the Cycling UK website, you will need to click ‘My account’ in the top right-hand corner. You will then need to click on the grey box which says, ‘Update your email address’. This will bring up a form where you can add your updated email address.

Can I have more than one membership linked to my account?

Yes, you can. For example, if you have an Individual membership and you are also the primary contact for a Group membership, you will be able to see both memberships once you have logged into your online account – as long as both memberships are linked to the same email address and name.
