Calling all qualified and would-be cycling instructors in West Yorkshire: join Cycling UK’s Cycle for Health programme to make a real difference in your area

Cycling UK is looking for qualified cycling instructors and ride leaders in West Yorkshire to deliver the pioneering Cycle for Health programme. Cycle for Health uses cycling to improve the health and wellbeing of adults in West Yorkshire through a free eight-week cycling course funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

To learn about the difference the programme has made to the lives of people taking part, watch our film.

Courses are designed for adults with physical or emotional health and wellbeing challenges, and the aim is to provide a route into regular activity, building fitness and self-esteem whilst teaching an important life skill.

The courses are run from hubs across West Yorkshire, where bikes and equipment are provided.

Instructor requirements

Cycling UK is looking for:

Lead instructors
Fully qualified instructors (NSI or 1st4Sport) with experience of working with adults.

Co-instructors/Ride leaders
NSIP or who have a Ride Leader qualification,

We can offer fully qualified lead instructors (NSIQ) £16/hour (£14/hour for any other qualification), with travel expenses covered.
