Project overview

Located just moments from Newcastle’s Central Station and Quayside Cycle Hub, One Trinity Gardens (1TG) is one of the city’s most recognisable business addresses. This Grade A development provides 120,000 sq ft of open-plan office space, including some of the largest existing floorplates in the city.

As part of a recent transformation led by Praxis Real Estate Management, 1TG now features top-tier wellness and active travel infrastructure – supporting modern ways of working and travelling, while contributing to Newcastle’s environmental goals.

Objectives

  • Enable active travel: offer a comprehensive range of cycle-friendly features to support daily commuting by bike.
  • Enhance tenant experience: provide industry-leading wellness facilities and modern workplace amenities.
  • Achieve ESG excellence: align with top environmental, social and governance standards – including EPC ‘A’, WiredScore Platinum and now, Cycle Friendly Buildings accreditation.

Cycle-friendly design

One Trinity Gardens’ upgraded amenities make it one of Newcastle’s most accessible workplaces for people cycling to work. Highlights include:

  • Secure cycle storage: recently installed cycle parking and e-bike charging points in a secure, dedicated area.
  • Premium changing facilities: five-star changing rooms with towel service, lockers and showers, exclusive to tenants.
  • Tenant fitness centre: an on-site boutique gym equipped with TechnoGym equipment and access to personal trainers.
  • Accessibility and wayfinding: clear signage and direct access to the Quayside Cycle Hub and riverside cycle routes.

These enhancements were designed to exceed the standards required for Cycling UK’s Cycle Friendly Building accreditation, and contribute to the building’s competitive advantage in attracting forward-thinking occupiers.
