The Wild Wales Challenge Ride is part of Cycling UK's Challenge Ride Series and is one of the toughest but most popular routes in the programme. Starting from and finishing in Bala, the ride certainly lives up to its name!

Set among the spectacular scenery of the Welsh mountains, this is a demanding ride but any reasonably fit rider should experience no difficulty in completing the course. Expect both steep climbs and descents, stunning views and little other traffic riding on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and the beautiful Dyfi Forest. The route also passes next to the Llyn Llanwyddn reservoir, built in the 1880s to supply fresh water to Liverpool.
