Starting and finishing in Stalybridge town centre, the Tame Valley Loop consists of three routes (3.5, 10 and 18 miles), so there's something for all abilities.

The route brings together existing paths, off-road tracks and trails and is a fantastic day ride. For those looking for more of a challenge the Loop links up to the Pennine Bridleway so you can add it to your Great North Trail ride. The Tame Valley backs onto the South Pennines, and is easily accessed by a range of local campsites, or from Manchester itself via train.

Flat and traffic free this 3.5 mile there and back route is perfect for families.

For the more advanced try out the 18-mile technical blue grade mountain bike route.
