One of the views on this Northern Irish ride

Northern Ireland has some of the most scenic cycling routes in the UK and this loop from smart bike light innovators See.Sense shows off a real gem.

The See.Sense team loves to head out cycling together after work or at the weekend, which always involves a coffee and cake stop! Our favourite route has to be this Strangford Lough loop in County Down, Northern Ireland with a stop at picture perfect Daft Eddie's Coffee Room and Pub on Sketrick Island. The route is particularly special to us as it’s where we filmed our See.Sense ACE Kickstartervideo last year, so it holds some great memories.

Strangford Lough is managed by the National Trust and is a haven for marine life and flowers. With the route being flat it means that it is suitable for all abilities of cyclists who want to pedal along and take in the views. Just as long as the bike is fit for road riding!

At 30 miles in total, our group meanders along the beautiful shores of the Ards Peninsula and the lough along minor roads with all the scenery and wildlife right at our wheels. We recommend the decent quality tarmac here too. Always charge your phone and kit before riding this route, as you’ll definitely want to take a few snaps to share with your friends — we usually stop at Nendrum Castle for our photos.
