A tribute to Barbara Else

Barbara will be remembered for her love of cycling, her warm hospitality and the joy she brought to everyone she met

A long time member of Chippenham Wheelers, Barbara was widely known for many CTC activities including Birthday Rides and Bristol DA events.

Many years of tandem riding also extended contacts with other cyclists far and wide.

Although rather quiet, many letters that the family received remembered Barbara for various reasons but mostly what fun it was to be with her.

Barbara was always very involved with cycling, but she had a wide variety of interests, and spent time aiding children with special needs.

She was also an excellent baker and there was always fresh bread and cake for tea!

After several years of debilitating illness Barbara died peacefully on the 28th May.

Barbara leaves and is sorely missed by her husband John, and children David Else and Jacqui Cook, as well as their four grandchildren and their two great grandchildren.
