Kidical Mass has a vision. That vision is for children and young people to be able to safely and independently travel by bicycle wherever they live. Our motto is "Space for the next generation". A child-friendly city is a city that's good for people of all ages. Kidical Mass gives young people a voice and a presence in the public realm. Our cities and streets belong to them too!

 

6/7 May 2023 will see Kidical Mass rides happening all across Europe as families demand child-friendly cities and cycle-friendly cities.

Summer 2022 Try Out Ride.

This event is for new riders who my be looking to join West Kent CTC. It is being run by the West Kent CTC local Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells group. It will take place on Sunday June12th at 9:30am strating at the Big Bridge, Tonbridge.

The route is to Pembury via road and cycle track, with a cafe stop half-way.

The ride will be led by an experienced leader, and a tail-end Charlie will ensure no one is left behind..

Each year hundreds of cyclists from all over the UK come together in the West Midlands village of Meriden - traditionally regarded as the centre of England - to pay tribute to fallen cyclists. 

Cyclists from around the country make their way to Meriden to attend a service to commemorate cyclists who have died in combat. 

We are offering primary aged children the opportunity to have 2 hours of coaching games and practice in an off road setting.

Just learnt to ride your bike – missed out on Bikeability, not as confident as you would like??

We are offering children the opportunity to have 2 hours of fun, games, challenges, practice and skill building off road.

Small numbers – just 8 participants so more time can be given to each child..

There will be cones, ramps, see saws, up and overs, rumble strips and all manner of silly games.

Manchester & District CTC will put on a ride introducing the Manchester Sightseer on

Saturday 14th May 2022. We’ll meet up for a coffee, then have a guided tour along some of

the Manchester Sightseer route, tailoring how far we get to the capabilities of who turns up.

We’ll finish for lunch at a suitable café, then we’ll have our AGM at St Cross Church in

Clayton, starting at 2:30, so you can tell us how much you enjoyed the ride, the company,

and cycling in the city.

We're bringing back the summer Sisters In The Wild vibe to the Lake District. Expect two days of off-road focused riding, a supportive, inclusive, atmosphere, and skill building opportunities and inspiring talks about bikepacking around the ride.

Active Travel Hustings - Northern Ireland 

Cycling UK and Sustrans are hosting Northern Ireland's Active Travel Hustings ahead of the Assembly elections 2022.

In Northern Ireland we have the lowest investment across the UK and Ireland in walking, wheeling and cycling. Political will has been shown as the most effective way to get people out of their cars and onto other forms of transport, so what are our candidates and parties promising to do if they make it into government this May?
