About us

We organise leisure cycle rides every Sunday throughout the year, usually leaving at 10 am from the famous Eureka Cyclists café on the A540 at Two Mills on the Wirral.

We cycle mostly on surfaced road at an average speed of 10-12 miles per hour. But we do vary. Our rides are graded A to C to give you an idea of what pace to expect. Take a look at our programme to see where we are going – beyond Chester into the lanes of Cheshire, Wrexham and occasionally the hillier parts of North Wales as well as gentler stretches on the Wirral.

We want as many people as possible to enjoy cycling. We are a friendly, mixed group of men and women. You don’t need to be super fit. Just make sure that your bike is roadworthy. Bring a spare inner tube, pump and tools in case of a puncture.

It’s a good idea to carry a drink and maybe waterproofs as we are out all day. We will stop for lunch at a café or a pub. There is usually somewhere close by suitable for those who prefer to bring their own sandwiches.  Our rides are led by experienced volunteers. They will give you more information about what to expect before we set off.

Bicycle Belles – these are short, introductory cycle rides just for women that take place on a Saturday morning once a month. We stop at a café part way and return for lunchtime.

Tuesday Evening Cyclists – from beginning of May to September, we meet early evening every week in Willaston and divide up for differently paced cycle rides from short, introductory to the challenge! We finish together in the pub.
