Saddleworth Clarion Cycling Club
Saddleworth Clarion Cycling Club is a Cycling UK affiliated group. We are a growing cycling club with 100+ members from the Saddleworth villages, Oldham, Tameside, and Kirklees and are a section of the National Clarion Cycling Club..
Saddleworth Clarion welcomes riders of all abilities to the club. We organise on and off road club rides and events for like- minded cyclists in and around the beautiful Pennine countryside of Saddleworth. Our aim is simple - to enjoy the full spectrum of cycling activities in the company of others, from the recreational through to the competitive. With experienced cyclists and newcomers alike, we share our experience, interests, and knowledge of routes and cafes for the benefit of all.

- Regular on road club rides on Saturday & Sunday meeting in Uppermill
- Monthly Saturday Social Ride on the last Saturday of each month. Ideal for beginners and those wishing to ride within a group and meet fellow cyclists for a leisurely cycle ride around Saddleworth

- Meet, ride & socialise with like-minded people in the Saddleworth area.

Regular Saddleworth Clarion on road club rides on Saturday & Sunday meeting in Uppermill. Most rides incorporate a ride out to a local café.
Social C ride (30-40 miles, steady gentle pace) to a local cafe, ideal for those wanting to try out the club (usually Saturday);
Monthly Saturday Social Ride on the last Saturday of each month. Ideal for beginners and those wishing to ride within a group and meet fellow cyclists for a leisurely cycle ride around Saddleworth.
Led by experienced club members the Saturday Social Ride runs at a very easy pace, that of the slowest rider. It averages about 15-20 miles distance, depending on the ability of the riders. No one is left behind.
Faster Sunday B rides (35-45 miles, not typically including a café stop)
Longer Sunday A Rides (50-70 miles)
Regular off road MTB rides on Wednesday evenings, & some weekend off road rides organised for riders of all abilities and experience.
