East Sussex CTC
We are a relatively small (with the exception of our Midweek Group!), informal CTC Group and are always pleased to meet new riders of all ages.
We have 4 Sections within the main group, 3 of which ride mainly on Sundays, usually drawing about a dozen riders and covering particular areas of the County, whilst the 4th, the Midweek Section, rides on Wednesdays and draws members from all across our area. The Midweek Group regularly draws between 40 and 70 members for coffee on a Wednesday, and usually has 4 different led rides of varying abilities making their way to lunch.
Our rides explore the quiet lanes of East Sussex and occasionally further afield and range from 40km (25 miles) upwards - distances varying between different groups.
We ride in groups, with a designated leader (so we don't get lost!). We do not race or go on a "training run" - several sections do have separate rides for those who wish to "stretch their legs" a bit more - but otherwise we attempt to travel at the pace of the slowest rider. There are also occasional off-road rides - though some of our standard club rides may include good tracks and bridleways.
Details of all organised rides are shown in the 2-monthly Runslist & Newsletter which is available free to all members – and can be downloaded from our website. Details of all activities, as well as other useful information (check the Tearoom List), can also be found on the website - www.eastsussexctc.org.uk
Informal rides on other days are organised via the East Sussex CTC Facebook Group.
Pictures of our rides and activities, as well as historical photos of the East Sussex CTC, can be found on the East Sussex CTC pages on Flickr and Google+.
In case of difficulty you can access these from the Photo Gallery link on the East Sussex website - www.eastsussexctc.org.uk
