About us
York Cycle Campaign is a volunteer-run group which aims to make cycling in York safe, convenient, and accessible to everyone.
Our small, flat, compact city is superficially ideal for cycling, and indeed we have one of the highest proportions of cyclists in the country. Unfortunately, this isn't reflected in the infrastructure, funding, or transport decisions. We are doing our best to change this.
We welcome cyclists from all demographics, including people who would like to cycle in York but currently feel unable to do so. The more diverse our group, the better we will be able to represent everybody.
You can add your name to our list of cyclists demanding better provision, become a paid-up member, join one of our working groups and get stuck in to the nitty-gritty, or simply follow us on Twitter and Facebook, and tag us whenever you have something to say about cycling in York... good or bad, big or small. Help us to make a difference!
