Active Travel Cycle Project delivered by Repair Reuse Recycle CIC
Overview
We are a registered non-profit organisation (10227598) making cycling accessible and affordable for all ESNEFT NHS Staff by repairing and re-homing donated cycles at Colchester and Ipswich hospitals. We aim to help anyone working at the hospital cycle and for it to be an easy and affordable experience. We achieve this by working with local companies.
Outcomes
To help people within our community by providing access to affordable and sustainable transportation by encouraging an ethos of DIY and DIT (Do It Together!).
Strengthen our community by providing an inclusive, vibrant and supportive environment for people from all backgrounds to use cycling as a means of transport.
We can also deliver an educational experience for Primary age pupils by creating a weekly school cycle bus. We also help young people learn and develop lifelong bike maintenance skills.
Promote sustainability by saving bicycles and their working parts from the waste stream, encouraging reuse wherever possible, and offering an alternative to buying new.

Weekly rides from Wivenhoe to Colchester Hospital and return
Weekly rides from Ipswich train station to Ipswich Hospital
Establishing safe routes to and from hospitals.
Early Spring and Late Autumn we journey across to mainland Europe for a weekend ride.
We offer an in depth Active Travel service for organisations with data logging
