Rise and Ride Ipswich Cycling

We started up in Late 2025 in conjunction with Cycling UK and Suffolk County Council (Way to Go Suffolk)

We learnt to ride on roads in 2024 through The Way to Go Suffolk and really enjoyed riding in a group. We went from beginners to riding in a 25 mile sportive which were very proud of. We'd like to help others start their cycling journey. 

We aim to do short social rides, starting about 5 miles then slowly building up the miles to 10 miles/ 1 hour with cafe stop at the end, or sometimes mid ride. We will start off on cyclepaths but progress to quiet roads so no need to worry about traffic. We are qualified Ride Leaders so will do all the signalling for you! 

Most rides will be weekday mornings giving you a good healthy start to the day. We are very friendly and it's a good time to chat too. Everyone welcome, regardless of gender, nationality or religion.
