Ride Leader and Ride Report: John Rickett …

I met up with Chris Owen at Alvingham as advertised. He was trying out his latest bargain find, a Cambridge Blue Trek gravel bike, which he seemed to be enjoying.

We followed the prescribed route to the Little Village Tea Shop where we each had a cherry scone. I have to say it was one of the best scones I've ever had, this and a decent cup of coffee £6 - cheap considering the quality and quantity.

The weather, including the roads, were improving so we didn't get wet, although as Chris wasn't keen on doing the whole route through Theddlethorpe and Withern, we turned right at the end of Three Bridges Roads to return via the Carltons, Manby, Grimoldby, and the Cockeringtons to Alvingham. I then carried on home via Yarborough arriving at 1300.

32 miles all in for me and with the bonus of not getting wet, which I had expected to do, it was a good ride. The others don't know what they missed.
