"Steady Saturday" 13/6/26 Repair Cafe Ride Louth to Alvingham.
Starting today at the Leisure centre at Wood Lane Louth were Ty and Harvey.

We headed out to Alvingham bia Brackenbourgh and once we got to Alvingham we had a look inside an old telephone box which now serves the local community as place to drop off and take out books. Ty left 1 book but came away with 3. These ex GPO telephone boxes have been repurposed into these wonderful book exchanges. The classic, bright red cast-iron kiosk was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.
Then it was onwards to the Repair Cafe. The Repair Cafe offers a free fix to the Louth and nearby community for free with any donations gladly received. Ty and James volunteer fixing bikes. The whole ethos is to recycle and repair.
The Repair Cafe can fix anything from electricals to coal scuttles and there’s a dedicated bike repair section run by James Pocklington, where they’ve refurbished at least 100 bicycles for people in poverty. They accept donation bikes and parts for the “Wheels for Life” charity. In conjunction with the Repair Café charity, members of the public can also take advantage of repairs and parts for a small donation. Grab a coffee and get you're bike checked over for free.
