Louth to South Ormsby 19/07/26
RIDE LEADER AND RIDE REPORT: Ty Harness.
Riding out at a leisurely pace today for a picnic at South Ormsby: Ty Harness, Harvey Wright and Tim Newbery. Paul Linder would be riding in direct from Alford.
A chilly "autumnal feel" day was the best description. The group headed out through Little Cawthorpe then into the Wolds. Onto Haugham, Maidenwell and Ruckland eventually joining the Bluestone Heath Road. We simply then headed to meet Paul who had already arrived at the Sheep Dip Paddock and was one sandwich in front of us. It's small shed with soap, flour and eggs for sale but along with complimentary (for a donation) coffee which is a little haven for the tired cyclist or walker.
A special thank you to Harvey's mum who made us some cyclists' shortbread. The secret ingredient is Lurpak (other butter is available. The ratio of flour, sugar and Lurpak shall remain secret.
Then we all travelled back with Paul through Claceby and pondered why the village once had a rather fine church now just a ruin.

Then it was hard slog into a cold North wind all the way back to Louth. Still, a good ride out.
