Louth to Huttoft 7th December 2025

Today’s cyclists starting from the Merdian Leisure Centre Louth: Ty Harness, Paul Linder (ridden in from Alford), and Chris Owen (ridden in from Cleethorpes). Club Captain Tim Newbery was there for the briefing and bike inspection before the ride commenced.

Starting in bright sunshine, the route took us out through South Cockerington to Manby and the Carltons. We met Alan Hockham (ridden in from Mablethorpe) at Little Carlton. Then at Gayton Top, Chris took an alternative route back to Cleethorpes, while the group continued on to Woodthorpe, where we were joined by Steve Croton (ridden in from Alford).

We headed to Beesby Crossroads and then through Markby to Hannah, and finally reached Huttoft by 12:15 p.m., just before the rain set in. We took refreshments at Farmer Brown’s in Huttoft—always a superb café stop.

The group then split, each heading home in light drizzle, though the temperature remained reasonable.
