Bluebells out now!

Steve H provided the route for today's ride but unfortunately as his vehicle had broken down could not make it on the actual ride. While cycling over to the start Steve's rear brake disk pads fell out so we carried on to the Old Town Hall meeting point where the two Johns and Mike turned up. They set off to go to a cafe on the edge of Leighton Buzzard while Steve and I returned home to St Albans. After changing the brake pads we cycled directly to the Gary Cooper in Dunstable where we found four cyclists and Gudrun sitting in the sunshine. Apparently the cafe was closed on Easter Sunday, so it turned into another Wetherspoon coffee stop in Leighton Buzzard, followed by a more direct route back to Dunstable. Shery had cycled from Tring and I think caught up with the others in Leighton Buzzard. After an al fresco lunch we departed for our home destinations on a sunny dry day. Steve and I almost matched Mike's 53 mile round trip as we covered 51 miles on the day.
