Join the CTC Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders email group with Groups.io

By joining the Groups.io email group, you will receive emails from the rides leader giving full details of the route, distance, possible weather conditions, meeting point, lunch and coffee stops.

Send Bill Crook an email:  [email protected] with a couple of lines saying who you are, why you would like to join our group and if you are a member of Cycling UK.

You will get an email shortly from Groups.io inviting you to join the group. 

All you have to do is reply to this email and then you should start receiving the emails. 

Once you are in the group, you can find all the correspondence on the groups.io website at https://groups.io/g/CTCEdinburghLandB/topics

If you are a regular rider and would like to join the chat and share photos on the CTC Lothians and Borders WhatsApp group, please download WhatsApp onto your smartphone and  ask Janet or Gordon to be added to the group. You can find out more about WhatsApp on https://www.whatsapp.com.

 

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

Most of the pages of the website contain cycling related photographs. These  show local landmarks, cyclists out on a ride or specific locations related to a ride. If you do not wish to appear in any photograph on the website or on the WhatsApp Group please let one of the committee members know or contact the committee members are: Derek Hyde, Ben Bate, Andrew Derrington, Maryrose Brennan, Rhona Emmerson, Alastair Sim, Ian Miller, Colin Fishbacher and Bill Crook. Members should not post photographs on any social media site without the explicit permission of those in the photo.

 

Join the CTC Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (ICE) list.

By clicking on the email link:- icectc.lb(AT)gmail.com new and existing regular riders are asked to provide or update their emergency contact details; Name & Mob number, Name and relationship with Emergency Contact & Telephone numbers, Cycling UK Membership number.

Ride leaders are provided with these details in order to comply with Cycling UK guidelines and insurance policy criteria. Note these details will be kept securely and never shared with a third party.

On the rare occasion that an emergency arises, leaders have immediate access to the details provided;

In addition, under the contact title ICE, riders should have this information in their mobile phone.
