Lunar Cycles

Welcome to Lunar Cycles! - a Bristol cycle club for women, non-binary and trans folk. We provide a welcoming and inclusive space, and increase visibility for this group in cycling.

Our activities

Audax/Sportive road rides
Leisure/Touring rides
Women only rides

About us

We have 3-4 rides/month:
30-40km intro ride - road and hybrid bikes (you don’t have to be new to join these!)
50-60km ride for both hybrid and road bikes
Slightly faster ride 70-90km ride for road bikes only

These are not beginner rides, you must be able to cycle 30-40km (don’t worry about pace, esp for the intro and road rides) but it is a welcoming and inclusive club, and nobody will be left behind!

We meet at 10am in St George’s park (Church Road entrance)

Always a cafe stop half way  (and whenever needed)

Rides are posted usually a month in advance.

Pls contact Rosie if you have any questions - we want you to join so don’t be put off by fears you might not keep up!

Notes on inclusivity and Diversity
Please be aware of peoples pronouns and using gendered language in the chat

Lunar Cycles is working on diversity and inclusivity re race & ethnicity. Please take a look at Diversity in Cycling’s recent report on the subject. All members have a responsibility to ensure the club and our behaviour is inclusive and welcoming: https://www.diversityincycling.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Diversity-In-Cycling-Second-Edition.pdf Any comments or suggestions about this are welcome!

Racist, sexist, homo/transphobic, classist, ableist or other discriminatory comments or behaviour will not be tolerated.

Lunar Cycles is a volunteer- run community initiative, and relies on volunteers to keep it running free! Please get in touch if you’re interested in volunteering (admin or leading rides - training/compensation provided)

Hope to see you on a ride soon!
