About us

Field Trippers are an inclusive all terrain cycling group based in Saffron Walden, Essex. 

We host regular weekly social rides, as well as special events. 

Information about the group rides

All of our weekly local rides start an finish at our local community pub 'The Railway Arms'.  They are mixed terrain and take in lanes, byways & bridleways.

  • Make sure you have a well-maintained functional bike that is capable of completing the ride. 
  • Bring suitable tools and spares to keep your bike running if you have a mechanical or puncture. 
  • Please show respect for members of the public that you will encounter on our routes. Be Nice. Say Hi! 

Mondays @ 7pm

On Monday nights during the summer we are run 'The Monday Meetup'. This is a shorter and slower ride for new and experienced riders alike! Routes are approximately 15-20km

Wednesdays @ 7pm

Our mid week ride (Summer only) with routes that are approximately 30-35km.

Sundays @ 9am

Our original Sunday morning ride! The routes are approximately 30-40km and run all year.
