About us

Our primary aim is to promote cycling in our area and to provide a platform for all abilities, genders, and interests in a relaxed fully inclusive environment. We are a friendly club and think that amateur riding should primarily be fun and we like to think we do not take ourselves too seriously.

Being a member of our club will enable you to enjoy the pleasures of cycling in the beautiful countryside that surrounds our village on the edge of Constable Country. People new to cycling will have an instant network of support and advice available to them and the opportunity to take part in organised rides on a regular basis.

Information about the group rides

Club rides take place throughout the year on a Sunday morning, with our very active MTB group also riding Thursday evenings.

The club offers a variety of road rides with a faster group setting off at 8am and a slower group setting of at 9am. Rides usually last around two hours and are led by regular and experienced ride leaders.

Our MTB group sets off at 8am, rides usually last approximately 3 ½ hours, including a coffee stop. The start point for these rides will vary, commonly Boxford, but often we ride from other places too.

We also have a "Ruff Stuff" group leaving at 9am, on largely traffic free routes, taking in single track lanes and off road trails with distance ranging anywhere from 20 to 40 miles at a relaxed touring pace - rides usually average around 10mph with a midway, bring your own coffee and snacks, stop.
