Pompey Pedal Pushers Women's Taster Ride

Pompey Pedal Pushers are a small group of women road cyclists, based around Portsmouth,  who enjoy riding together and pushing their boundaries. None of us are speed monsters, but we are firmly in the 'intermediate' range.  Many who started with us have gone on to ride long events, whether touring, or endurance.  The best thing is, is doesn't matter how old you are, what your current standard of fitness is, or how fast you can ride, the ability to ride a long way is available to ALL women.  That being said, our normal rides are much shorter, but we do occasionally throw in a long ride for the experience and challenge.

During the Women's Festival of Cycling, you are invited to join us for a local ride, with a cafe stop, and get to know us a little more.  Details of the ride are below.

Date :Saturday 17th July

Time :10am

Meeting point : Farlington Marshes Car Park, Portsmouth (where the A27 meets Eastern Road)

Timing : Allow between 4 - 4 1/2 hours including our cafe stop.

Cafe : Design Vintage Cafe - West Stoke.

The ride will be gently undulating, and we’ll ride at the pace of the slowest rider.

All are welcome, although to make it fair for all riders I do ask that you are able to ride at a minimum average speed of around 10 miles per hour. Most of our riders ride drop bar bikes.

Please let me know if you are planning on joining us, and maybe let us know a little of your experience so that I can plan the ride based on the experience of the riders. Also, feel free to invite your friends who might not be in this group (female only).
