Isle of Wight Randonnee

Cycleisland Community Interest Company (CIC #11610015) with the support and assistance of the Wayfarer Cycle Touring Club (IoW). The IoW Randonnee was established by the Wayfarer Cycle Touring Club in 1985.

All checkpoints are open from 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. You may find that certain checkpoints are open a little earlier and/or close a little later, but remember that people at the checkpoints are volunteers and can't be expected to be there at dawn!

100km route around the whole of the Isle of Wight mainly following the Round-the-Island cycle route and taking minor roads and lanes where possible. It is way-marked by white bicycle on blue island signs. Round-the-Island cycle route maps with easy to follow directions are available to enable the rider to see the best of the Island scenery. Join at any of the checkpoints. 

The 55km Randonnee route follows the Round Island Route from East Cowes, through Wootton and Bembridge to Alverstone. It then joins NCN (National Cycle Network) Route 23 from Alverstone through Newport to East Cowes. Join at any of the 4 checkpoints (East Cowes, Wootton, Bembridge or Alverstone) and follow the diagram on the Checkcard.
