Hilly 50kms (2021 Local Solo/Duo Edition)
For everyone who has taken on our Surrey Hills challenge in recent years it won't surprise you that we are unable to run the event this year and you may have asked what we are doing to fill the gap. The answer is a special informal DIY edition, designed to be more local for many in our club, touring the best hills in the North Downs around Carshalton, Banstead, Chipstead, Merstham, Caterham, Coulsdon and Woodmansterne. As in past years we are pleased to provide over 3000 feet of climbing and for this year have added 14 bonus kilometres to make a total of 64 kms, 40 miles. We will be especially pleased for participants from outside our club to take part. Until the Covid guidelines are relaxed it is expected that cyclists will ride the course solo or in pairs, on a day of their own choice.
This is a special edition of the ride to remember Mike Morley who organised our Hilly 50 in recent years. There is no entry fee but please visit the Hilly 50 page on our website to follow all the links to documentation including the invitation which includes a link to the JustGiving page for St Raphael's Hospice, Mike's favourite charity.
Please contact the organisers if you need additional information.
