Event description


The Helensburgh Sportive returns for the third consecutive year on Sunday 28th June 2020. A 50 mile road cycle with stunning views of the Clyde, Gareloch and Loch Long. It is a challenging event in aid of a brilliant cause: the Beatson Cancer Charity.

Thanks to contributors Auchentullich Farm Shop, Scotrack and Helensburgh Sailing Club. Their help allows us to donate as much as possible to the Beatson charity after some minimal running costs.

  • 50 miles of stunning scenery
  • Chip Timing
  • Food and water station at 20 miles
  • Sweeper Service
  • Finishers Auchentullich Dairy Ice Cream
  • Event Branded Drinks Bottle

Date & time:

Sunday 28th June 2020

Registration opens: 07:30hrs

Start times: 08.00hrs - 10.00hrs

Riders will be started in waves 

Registration:

You will be able to register and pick up your rider number on the morning of the event. 

Location:

Registration and the start will be situated at the Helensburgh Sailing Club, Rhu Road Lower, Helensburgh G84 8QT 

Parking:

Some parking is available at the start. If you can, please cycle to the start to reduce traffic. 

Marshalls:

We will be looking for a number of helpers to be dotted throughout the route. If any of your supporters, family or friends would like to get involved please drop us an email. 

Food Station:

The food station will be situated in Glen Fruin (approx 20 Mile mark) where there will be water, snacks and a portoloo available.

The sportive is open to e-bike entries - please tick e-bike when entering.

Minimum Age Requirement:

Entires open to participants over the age of 16 on the day of the event.
