Heaven via the Home Straight - Tockwith 50km Audax Ride

Starting at Tockwith near York. A new route for 2026 that measures out at 52km.
A ride on gentle terrain and quiet roads in the Vale of York. Approaching York, approximately half way, the route goes onto good quality dedicated cycle paths passing the racecourse, crossing the Ouse and leading to the main control at Cycle Heaven. Retracing the inbound traffic free route, the cycle paths continue briefly to exit the city, back onto quiet roads to return to Tockwith.

A good first Audax and a ride suitable for younger or less experienced riders. If you want to bring juniors to this event and have any questions at all, I want to help and get you to the start line, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

The Tockwith events (50km, 100km, 160km and 200km rides) are all priced the same. There will be unlimited tea/coffee/juice, some simple breakfast items at the start and plenty of cake at the finish. This is included in the event price. I encourage you to come in time to enjoy this before the ride, and not rush off afterwards. This will allow you to benefit from socialising with riders who you may be moving at a different speed to, during the ride itself.
As an organiser I want to see everyone that wants to, attend the event. Now and again people may feel they can't take on the ride they entered. I am happy to be contacted, to swap the event you entered for a shorter ride, rather than not see you on the day. This also works the other way; if training is going well and you want to take on a longer challenge, give me a shout.
To be able to offer this riders need to contact me directly, preferably 2 weeks before the date of the event or more, so the correct brevet cards can be entered. After this time it is still possible, but will depend on what spare cards I have available.
