Eighth Ride on Belfast

Ride on Belfast
Event ride

Event description

Ride on Belfast is back! Organised by Cycul, a social enterprise that wants to get more people active and on bicycles, the aim of the ride is to get people out of their cars and show how easy, stress free and fun cycling to work can be.

Its also a great chance to meet our Northern Ireland Engagement Officer, Andrew McClean, and Head of Campaigns and Advocacy, Duncan Dollimore, who will have a stand at City Hall for the breakfast.

On Friday 10 June, set your alarms that little bit early, because come rain, hail or shine Cycling UK will be there along with all the other groups and individuals who want to show that Belfast can, and should, be a cycling city. There is no reason we can’t be up there with the best, we have the perfect geography, population and now the political will.

There are feeder rides from different parts of the city, with all cyclists meeting at 7.45am at Queen’s University to push off at 8am. From Queen’s we will cycle through the city centre and finish up at Belfast City Hall for a free breakfast.

Feeder rides:

East Belfast – meet at CS Lewis Square at 7.15am for 7.30 departure

South Belfast

1. Meet at the entrance to Knockbreda Cemetery at 7.15am for 7.30am departure

2. Lagan Towpath Commuters meeting at 7.15am at the old Coke factory for 7.30am departure

North Belfast – meet at Alexandra Park Gardens gates at 7.15 am for 7.30 departure
