A choice of 3 Audax events:

Pistyll Packing Momma

Starts at 8am £8.00

211km cycling event starting from Tattenhall, Cheshire. Controls at Chirk, Dafarn Newydd Stores Abertridwr, Bala and Tattenhall, plus 3 information controls.
A Dave Matthews classic. A challenging and continuously interesting route through West Cheshire & North Wales for experienced Randonneurs

Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall at 240ft is one of the wonders of Wales. Outstanding views throughout this hilly ride. A challenging ride taking you through some of Wales's prettiest and remotest areas. A tough but rewarding day on the bike, the highlight being the wonderful, dramatic descent of Hirnant Pass

Momma's Mountain Views

Starts at 8.30am £8.00

130km cycling event starting from Tattenhall, Cheshire. Controls at Chirk and The Sportsmans Arms Tattenhall, plus 3 information controls.

A continuously interesting route through Cheshire lanes into North East Wales. The hilly middle section from Chirk to The Horseshoe Pass summit boasts outstanding mountain views. Scenic return over Hope Mountain.

A challenging day out. Whilst this ride may be shorter than the Pistyll Packing Momma 200km it is just as challenging and some of the climbs are actually harder, but please don't let that deter you. The lower time limit is set at 12.5kmph that gives you an extra 1h45 to get around. To date no one has ever missed the final cut off time and no one has ever regretted riding it. The scenery is simply some of the best views on offer in North Wales and well worth the effort. The big climbs of the day are out of Chirk (with a big descent down Vivod), climbing out of Llangollen to Panorama, the Old Llangollen Horseshoe Pass and finally Hope Mountain.

Momma's Leafy Lanes (50:50@50)

Starts at 9.30am £6.50

55km cycling event starting from Tattenhall, Cheshire. Controls at Bunbury and Tattenhall, plus 2 information controls.

A pleasant ride through the delightful north-west Cheshire lanes. A scenic excursion with just a few small hills in the middle section. Serves as an ideal introduction to Audax and also as a fine family day out.

The 50:50@50 initiative has been developed by Audax UK to celebrate their 50th year. Audax cycling has tended to be predominantly by men, this is to try to redress the balance to encourage more women to cycle
