Cycling for everyone

These guides are here to help your club connect with and support a wider range of people, including those who are new to cycling or returning after some time away. Each one gives you practical tips, insights and examples to help you understand what different audiences might need, what motivates them and what barriers they might face.

Learn to Ride guide

This guide is designed to help your club support people who are learning to ride a bike for the first time. It takes you through the basic steps in teaching someone to ride.

By using this resource, your club can help more people experience the joy of riding, creating positive first experiences, and make cycling accessible to everyone in your community.

Activity cards

These cards are designed to make your sessions fun and engaging while teaching important skills. Whether you’re teaching people to ride or helping them build confidence, the activity cards help you:

  • Target specific cycling skills like balance and coordination
  • Pick and mix cards to keep each session fresh
  • Adapt on the go to suit different abilities and needs

By using these cards, your club can keep sessions engaging, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

Poster templates

These editable poster templates make it easy to promote your club and upcoming sessions. Simply choose a design, and add your club name, logo, contact details and dates. Share them in local libraries, noticeboards, community centres and shops to spread the word.
