Zara Bellos

Bike mechanic; ride leader; ultra-endurance rider

Zara started cycling in her 20s as a cheap mode of transport and soon fell in love with the feeling it gave her. This led to cycle touring and pushing herself to ride ever longer distances. She was awarded the 2021-22 Ultra Distance Scholarship, which gave her a place on the 2022 GBDURO, the UK’s longest ultra-enduro race. She is a trained bike mechanic and also leads rides for Routing for Ya, a women- and Enby-led off-road cycling group.

“The scholarship changed my life and relationship with cycling by opening me up to an inclusive cycling community that I didn’t know existed.”
