Frustrated by a lack of action to make ultra-distance cycling more diverse, in 2020 Taylor set up the Ultra Distance Scholarship to provide better access to the discipline for people from marginalised backgrounds. The scholarship annually supports three riders in a year-long journey to a major ultra-cycling race. She also co-founded Steezy Collective, championing inclusive cycling spaces for women, trans and non-binary people.
