Co-founder of cycling club Queens of Pain

Ruby had long used bikes as a mode of transport, but in 2017 she started cycling for adventure. Then in 2021 she received an Instagram message from a friend expressing a desire to set up a women’s cycling group in Edinburgh. And so Queens of Pain was born! This friendly, inclusive group aims to get women and people of marginalised genders out on their bikes by running weekly led rides. They are also setting up a new workshop to introduce people to bikepacking.

“I want to get as many people riding bikes as possible so they too can share the enjoyment I get from it.”
