Peter Kenner 1947 - 2020

Peter Kenner 1947 - 2020

David Edge shares his Eulogy to Peter Kenner, former member of Lancaster & South Lakes CTC
I first met Peter Kenner in in 1963 when we both joined the Prestwich and Whitefield section of the then ctc. We quickly became mates and took part in the many club runs and events organised by the section.

One memorable early tour together in our teens was Manchester to lands end and back over three weeks, which was nicknamed the great trek by other club members. We were both rough stuff fellowship members and Peter went on to become the secretary of the organisation.

We were best men at each others weddings. I moved to North lancs and we lost touch, but later Peter moved to this area and we both joined the ctc Lancashire and lakes section.

Peter was an avid cycle tourist and toured extensively over the UK and European countries and over to New Zealand.
