The Scottish government has published its draft Climate Change Plan (CCP) and is asking for your opinions on how it can be improved.

We have written a brief guide to help you answer questions about improving transport so that Scotland reduces climate pollution.

The government’s online consultation provides a questionnaire for answers with a deadline of 29 January.

How we travel in Scotland produces huge amounts of pollution which damages the climate and the planet. Transport is the biggest source of pollution in Scotland and car use is the main culprit.

Switching to cycling for local journeys instead of using a car can make a difference and help us live low-carbon lifestyles.

The consultation covers proposals for many areas – including electricity production, farming, homes and transport.

The section on transport includes an opportunity for you to tell government what would help you to live a more climate-friendly lifestyle. It’s a great opportunity to say what practical things would help you take more journeys by bike.
