CTC Birthday Rides - Runner-up

The CTC Birthday Rides run annually for a week, providing accommodation, choices of bike rides, trips to local places of interest and evening's entertainment. 

Peter Mathison and the Birthday Rides team work hard every year to put on a great week of cycling for a range of skills and capabilities. The care and dedication that goes into every year's events from Peter Mathison, John Mawson and more – from booking the camping, to organising events and day trips – means that all who come relax and enjoy a perfect week or riding.

Cycling UK are happy to show our appreciation for all the work that goes into making the CTC Birthday Rides a successful week for everyone each year.

Cycling UK's Volunteer of the Year Awards are given annually to recognise and celebrate all the incredible work volunteers do in encouraging others to start cycling and keep cycling.
