Morag Prach is part of Cycling UK's 100 Women in Cycling 2018 list for forging a new career to combine two passions: cycling and science.

Morag Prach is the Cycling Scientist, a combination of a freelance cycle trainer, bike mechanic and science tutor. It all started in 2013, when Morag’s science career ended in redundancy and she had the time to start cycling the school run. This new passion took hold, leading her to complete Ride Leader training and qualify as a bike mechanic.

In her spare time, Morag is a volunteer leader for the Cycling UK-affiliated Belles on Bikes Cumbernauld and an active member of Arria Wheelers Cycling Club.

Morag nomination reads, “Morag has encouraged and supported me and many other women and deserves to be recognised for her passion which shines through whenever you talk to her.”

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
