Marcia Ellis

Along with fellow 100 Women in Cycling nominee Lisa Pugh, Marcia Ellis help establish a Facebook group to encourage women of all abilities to ride in the Surrey Hills: Surrey Hills MTB Chix. Since its formation the group has grown to over 280 members and has regular social rides. 

Marcia’s nomination reads, “She is awesome on her bike. Always encouraging others to come out and ride and be confident and believe in themselves. Always there with Lisa Pugh come rain wind or shine to organise group ride outs, inclusive of anyone and everyone, and she is fearless and committed to the sport.”

Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
