Oakies Trail Days

Something for the bigger kids this school holidays (12-15 year olds)

Come and join us for an epic afternoon of mountain biking, exploring some of the brilliant trails right on our doorstep at Quarry Woods — better known locally as “Oakies”!

These Trail Days are aimed at intermediate riders who are already comfortable and confident riding blue graded trails and are looking to develop their skills, confidence and trail riding. Throughout the session there’ll be plenty of riding, guidance and feedback, opportunities to session different trail features and, of course, the chance to capture some epic riding videos!

We’ll explore some of the popular trails on the west side of the woods. Along the way, riders will encounter and develop their confidence on a variety of natural and built trail features, including berms, small jumps, and technical sections (all rollable).

The adventure starts at The Gleaner Arena, where we’ll begin with a rider safety briefing and bike/equipment checks before heading together up to Quarry Woods.

Just 6 spaces are available per session. Keeping the groups small allows us to give riders more individual attention, quality feedback and ensures effective and safe group management out on the trails.The group will be guided by a qualified Trail Leader and Gravity Coach, supported by a qualified bike mechanic, giving riders plenty of knowledge and support throughout the adventure.

Sesson Two: Sunday 25th October | 1pm–3pm
