Chester & N Wales CTC President's Ride 2025
Event description
The Chester and N. Wales CTC President's Ride is a long established, annual event. It gives an opportunity for riders from all parts of our widely spread section to meet up socially whilst also enjoying a ride in either our beautiful Welsh or Cheshire scenery, (venue alternates year on year). This year, on the 86th anniversary of the founding of the section, it is N. Wales turn again.
A warm lunch is provided (soup & sandwich, cake ,tea/coffee) at Neuadd Eleanor; Llanfair D.C. Village Hall LL15 2UH where there will be details of the President's Trophy awarded to a deserving member or group.
Location & Route
Start finish is at St Asaph at low end of High Street by the bridge. Car parking is available here.
There are cafes in the area. We shall publish details of our preferred meeting place prior to the ride, closer to the time of the ride.
We shall aim for photocall at 10:45 in the car park and be on our way by 11am.
We are to provide a couple of optional routes with GPS to/from Llanfair D.C. These routes are approximately 25 or 20 miles each way.
Participants may choose their own shorter options or drive direct to the lunch venue where there is car parking available.
Lunch is at Llanfair D. C. Village Hall LL15 2UH---12:30 for 1:00 pm.
The given routes are all on road (which can be poorly maintained in places) but not closed ones! Do take the time to enjoy this tour of our wonderful Welsh lanes in the company of your fellow cyclists.
Route sheet, GPX files and details of pre-start cafe are to be made available to you during the week prior to the event.
Groups
Pick your own groups---but please not too large to allow other traffic to get past in our narrow lanes.
Refreshments & stops
Lunch is to be a sit down light meal with soup & sandwiches followed by cake and tea or coffee. There is to be water to drink with the meal---anything beyond that you would need to bring with you.
Cycles
