Ladies' Day at Dalby

Ladies' Day at Dalby Bike Barn
Over 500 women of all generations came along to the beautiful Dalby Forest at the weekend to try out mountain biking and road cycling, as CTC and Dalby Bike Barn staged their first Ladies' Day.

Mike Hawtin, Cycling Development Officer at Dalby, said the day was billed as perfect for women nervous about joining a public course that could turn out to be all male. It was also an ideal opportunity for some quality mother/daughter time.

The advert for the event even promised a distinct lack of pink!

The free, guided mountain bike rides and a road ride were all well attended, as were the skills sessions on offer.

One lady hadn’t been on a bike for 25 years, while another just wanted to brush up on her MTB skills."

Also popular was the chance to take a close look at Santa Cruz’s new Juliana bike range.

Another event will be planned very soon.
