CTC at the Tour of Britain 2014
The Tour of Britain starts this Sunday in Liverpool and finishes on 14 September in London. Stage 4 leaves Worcester on 10 September and Stage 6 finishes in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire on Friday 12 September - and CTC will be there.
CTC's partnership project Cycle Chilterns was instrumental in bringing the race to the area.
Sara Randle, development officer for the project, says: "For Cycle Chilterns to bring together a stage of the Tour alongside many of the project's stakeholders was too good to miss, and the perfect opportunity to reach an audience on a scale we could never have hoped to achieve by ourselves.
The benefits to the Chilterns and the project are phenomenal, with potential for a huge increase in cycle tourism."

Meanwhile, on Wednesday 10 September in Worcestershire, Push Bike!, a new cycle campaign group established in April 2014 by a group of enthusiastic local CTC and Sustrans volunteers, will be telling the enthusiastic crowds how they can get involved in cycling in the area themselves.
Push Bike! lobbies for safer and improved cycling facilities in the county, but also generally to encourage more local residents to enjoy the many benefits of riding a bike.
It has set up its own planning group which regularly comments on planning and highway matters and works with the local District and County Council and other organisations to support cycling events and initiatives. Key to getting its message over is a fortnightly cycling column in the Worcester News and its own blog.
Push Bike! also produces a regularly updated Cycling What's On for Worcestershire that is widely circulated and provides a stand from which to provide information and advice on cycling at key events in the area. It has been actively involved in the local Worcestershire team that has been planning activities for Stage 4 of the Tour of Britain.
