Worcester St Johns CC
Worcester St Johns Cycling Club was founded in 1888 by cyclists keen to go cycling together and to protect and encourage all aspects of cycling in Worcester. Through the years the club focused on racing and the sporting side of cycling but has always included social and leisure cycling activities. Today the club is involved in every possible aspect of cycling from racing to campaigning for better cycling facilities.
Racing members are active in Cyclocross, Training Rides, Track Racing, Time Trials, Road Racing, Mountain Biking and Ultra Distance Events. Both racing and non-racing members take part in sportives, club rides, club nights, touring and other social events. We aim to cater for all levels of ability from complete novices to experienced cyclists of any age. During the summer we organise weekly evening time trials on local courses over varying distances between 5 and 25 miles. At the weekends, members participate in club rides, sportives, road races and open time trials.
Club racing activity is frequently reported in the local press, especially when Worcester St Johns riders are in action on local courses and in open events.
Our most popular activities, are weekly club rides. Members meet on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays for rides of varying speeds and distances (see below for more details).
Cyclocross, time trails, road races, mountain bike racing and training events throughout the year
