About us
Houghton Cycling Club are a Cycling UK affiliated group.
Formed in 1932 Houghton Cycling Club is one of the oldest established cycling clubs in the north east of England. We hold regular club rides every Sunday, open and club time trials throughout the summer, and an early season open Reliability Trial.
We have a club night every Friday evening in Houghton le Spring, 7.00-8.30pm

Information about the group rides
We hold Club rides every Sunday, for novice, approx 25miles, intermediate, approx 40 miles, advanced, approx 70 miles. There are also weekday rides and regular Track and Trail rides. The club rides are governed by the club run etiquette and no one is left behind, as the pace is that of the slowest member.
We also hold open and club time trials during summer months.
